Descriere
Formed in 2006 in the United States by composer Justin Curfman, Feeding Fingers began as an experimental post-punk trio and has since evolved into an inter-disciplinary and international music project with intermittent members and contributors from Germany, Austria, Italy, Serbia, Japan, China and elsewhere.
Nearly impossible to classify, Feeding Fingers adeptly merge dark-wave, indie rock, avant-garde, electro, jazz, world music and more into something all its own. The group's restless process of reinvention has spanned 6 studio albums and three intercontinental tours, including shows with acts such as IAMX, David J. (Bauhaus, Love & Rockets, etc.), Nitzer Ebb, Steve Mackay (Iggy Pop & the Stooges, Violent Femmes, etc.) and many others, including two live appearances on NPR (National Public Radio).
Feeding Fingers' next studio album, 'Do Owe Harm', being an analog electronic, rock and jazz-infused study of microtonal / polytonal / xenharmonic music is due for release in January, 2018.
Arc Gotic
Post-Punk from Romania
The group was founded in the autumn of 1992, in Timisoara (Romania). The first album, called “Catehism”, was released in January 1994. The lyrics were influenced by the Romanian “damned” poet George Bacovia. After a few changes in the lineup, Arc Gotic began in 1996 the work on a new album, “Decadent”, which was recorded in the winter of 1997 and released in June 1998. This was the first title of a new underground label from Timisoara - Htonian Records. At the end of 2008 the third album "Pavilion Marilla" was self-released and can be ordered directly from the band. It comprises home recordings and some studio ones that were mixed by Tavi Scurtu and Ciprian Costache having a DIY approach.
